We welcome all newcomers to St. James! We greet all visitors to St. James during the peace in our services and at the Newcomers Table in the Parish Hall during Fellowship/Coffee Hour after the 10 a.m. service. We provide membership forms and extensive information about our church at this table, as well as warm and friendly faces to answer questions and help a visitor feel welcome.

St. James Newcomers’ Shepherding Program
Our Newcomers’ Shepherding Program seeks to continue welcoming newcomers to St. James. The Newcomers’ Shepherds reach out to newcomers after receiving a copy of their membership form. In addition to welcoming newcomers, acting as a personal connection and answering any questions they may have about our parish, Newcomers’ Shepherds assist newcomers in getting further involved in the church by connecting them with the chair-people of areas in which they are interested, such as Outreach, Fellowship, Family Ministry, Godly Play, etc. Newcomers’ Dinners at the Rector’s
Next Newcomers’ Dinner –
Saturday, April 24, 6:00 p.m.
These dinners are hosted by Susan and Appy Chandler. Parish guests include the Newcomers’ Shepherds, select members of the Vestry and select members of the Fellowship Commission. These dinners are an excellent opportunity to meet the clergy, parishioners, and fellow newcomers. They are relaxed, fun evenings.
