SEPTEMBER 2023: THE SEASON OF PENTECOST: Many weeks of GREEN!
- Sunday, 9/3: 8am & 10am – Morning Prayers
- Sunday, 9/10: MOSELEY WOODS, ANNUAL PICNIC LUNCH: Worship followed by our Annual Picnic lunch. 9am – 1pm at the Pavilion. Dogs welcomed!
- GODLY PLAY EXPLORATIONS: Special event and invite others to come join us: Two sessions: Wednesday evening, September 13, 7pm and Friday morning, September 15, 10a.m. Who should join us? You! New and returning students and families, potential teachers/doorkeepers and anyone, everyone interested in Godly Play. Our Montessori-based wonder-filled lessons and play are led by certified teachers who truly love what they do. Meet them and other families, enjoy a lesson for the children – socialize for a bit, easing into this new season and find out more! - FIRST GODLY PLAY CLASSES: 9/17 at 9:45am LIGHTHOUSE (Middle School) first class follows worship and will meet in the Library. Friends are welcome always.
- SUNDAY, 9/24: 9:45 – Godly Play classes. 11:30: LIGHTHOUSE (Middle School) meeting.
- BLESSINGS ON Sunday, September 17 & 24th, of backpack, lunch bag, briefcase, planner, computer or whatever your use that help you as you learn and grow in this fresh school year!
- GODLY PLAY – Age 3 to Grade 3 on September 17th for our first lesson of the new school year! Students meet downstairs in the classroom at 9:45a.m. Children join their parents after lesson in the Parish in time for Holy Communion. There is also a special worship/play space upstairs.
- Youth in grades 4-8 are invited to be active members of the Parish! You will learn how to help at the altar, to process with the cross and much more…you will continue to be a powerful and appreciated part of St. James!
- GODLY PLAY fall session begin on the 17th of September, focusing on St. James: who was he? Who are we – the Parish of St. James.
- PET FUN FUNDRAISER: We are planning to support our local elders and their pets by raising money for Amesbury’s Council on Again and their Pet Support Program. Learn all about this program at St. James on Sunday.
- FALL WORK WEEKEND AT BARBARA C. HARRIS CAMP: Volunteers can help out on Saturday, October 7 or stay overnight and work for two days: Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th. Reach out to Linda at stjames.christianeducation@gmail.com
