There are so many ways that members can expand and enrich their experience with Saint James Church. If you have a special talent or interest, why not put it to use? The time you give will be given back to you in the form of new friends and the pride and satisfaction that comes from being one of our community’s many points of light.
Here are some of the groups and activities that are always eager to welcome a new participant:
Hospitality Committee – You don’t have to be a great cook to be part of the St. James Hospitality program. Just put on a smile and an apron and have fun taking your turn at hosting a coffee hour. For details about what’s involved, click here.
Lay Eucharistic Visitor – LEVs and friends leave directly from church to visit members of our community each Sunday, and throughout the week, also, bearing everyones’ prayers and best wishes. You are invited to be a part of this ministry! Talk to Reverend Susan right away, to learn about this powerful ministry – your hands and heart are needed!
Book Group – Our Book Group spends four weeks on a book of common interest. Come to the Parish Hall on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. to become part of our newest reading project.
Altar Flowers – Are you interested in honoring, giving thanks for, or memorializing loved ones through floral tributes? You may sign up to provide funds or supplies for altar flowers and other ways of beautifying our church. Our volunteers will work with you, or for you, to create a beautiful tribute. Please contact the Office to reserve your choice of dates.
Want to know more? Call or e-mail us and let us know that you are interested in getting involved. We’d love to hear from you!
