A word about Centering Prayer

Give yourself a gift during this busy time of year – come sit, and do nothing! (It’s an incredible gift that you give to yourself, and to God – and when we sit together at St. James, it’s a gift to our church family, too.)
Experts claim that meditation is good for you; refresh your heart and soul with the discipline of Centering Prayer. All it takes is twenty minutes, a place to sit, and a willingness to focus not on thoughts, but on simply. . . being!
Come to our Meditation Chapel for Centering Prayer: the group meets on Wednesday 3:00-3:30pm.  Come give it a try, or start again, with this quiet and important way to pray – you are invited! For more info, email stjames.clergy@verizon.net.
